The Hoosier State’s largest airport is Indianapolis International Airport located southwest of Indianapolis. The airport is serviced by 13 airlines providing 38 nonstop flights to U.S. destinations. The presence of four low fare airlines – ATA, Southwest, Frontier and the recently added Independence Air – help keep air fares to the airport down. The easy-to-navigate airport consists of a main terminal with a central food court and retail area, and four concourses. Several years from now, the current terminal will be replaced by a new terminal with a cutting-edge design that features a soaring circular space reminiscent of downtown Indianapolis’ Monument Circle. Once you arrive, keep in mind that Indiana is in the Eastern Time Zone, but does not observe Daylight Saving Time.
