Raleigh-Durham International Airport is located in the heart of North Carolina’s Research Triangle – 10 miles southeast of Durham and 10 miles northwest of Raleigh. The airport is serviced by nine major airlines and 15 regional airlines offering nonstop service to 38 destinations including American Airlines’ flight to London Gatwick airport. The airport consists of two terminals – Terminal A and Terminal C. American Airlines, the airport’s leading airline, operates out of Terminal C. Together, the terminals have over 35 retail shops, restaurants and pubs for you to grab a magazine or a bite to eat before your flight. To keep up with the growth of the Research Triangle area, the airport added a new south concourse to Terminal A in 2001 and will begin renovating Terminal C in the fall of 2004.
